CHRISTMAS-THEMED WEDDING GRAND HAVEN, MI

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – to have a Christmas-themed wedding! Bridal couple, Kaitlyn and Dustyn’s wedding day love story is made extra special with all their Christmas touches. Located in downtown Grand Haven, Michigan, this elegant winter wedding was everything the bridal couple dreamed it would be.

Kaitlyn and Dustyn chose a very picturesque church for their ceremony and even had a gingerbread house replica of the church at their reception. Spring Lake Country Club was the bride and groom’s choice for the outstanding reception.

Grand Haven has superb venues offering indoor and outdoor wedding options. I have had the privilege of doing many wedding films in this location. Grand Haven’s main attraction is its landscape. Picturesque parks, dense forests and the charm of downtown Grand Haven with all its history and year-long events. No matter what season of the year, Grand Haven, Michigan is an excellent wedding destination.

Second Christian Reformed Church

The bridal couple said their wedding vows in the Second Christian Reformed Church in Grand Haven, MI. This church looks classic in the portraits with its’ magnificent steeple. Established in 1882, the Church celebrated their 100^th year anniversary in 1982. This church is a unique reflection of the history of downtown Grand Haven with its classic, white columns and red brick exterior.

Enjoy decorating your own unique wedding theme in the classic white interior and beautiful alter space. This wedding venue has excellent natural lighting through large windows for wedding films and portraits.

Reception Venue: Spring Lake Country Club

Address: 17496 North Fruitport Road, Spring Lake, Michigan

The designer for the reception was the incredible Rhiannon Bosse. Meticulously designed with every detail simply gorgeous. An absolute highlight was the spectacular pyrotechnics on the dance floor. Kaitlyn and Dustyn made the most of the Christmas season decorating the large, arch windows with wreaths and white bows. An amazing Christmas tree displayed in the reception ballroom was decorated with Christmas candles and lovely baubles. It was truly breathtaking!

The Spring Lake Country Club is located in Spring Lake, a small, friendly community located within minutes of Grand Haven. Surrounded by Spring Lake and Grand River, it has a 12-mile loop bicycle track weaving around the lake. There are many choices of shops and eateries.

The Spring Lake Country Club is a full-service wedding venue overlooking the beautiful Spring Lake of Grand Haven. The Ballroom has a large, wooden dance floor, two fireplaces and many views of the water. Customise this wedding space with your own unique and personal vibe. Couples can host up to 350 wedding guests in the ballroom. The Spring Lake Country Club offers your guests an unforgettable dining experience and beverage service.

Bride & Groom Details

Kaitlyn and Dustyn met in high school and worked at Craig’s Cruisers together. Dustyn had noticed Kaitlyn and so he slid into her DMs. Kaitlyn took her time in going out on a date with Dustyn, but eventually his persistency paid off. Something Kaitlyn really admires about Dustyn is his persistence. Kaitlyn stayed by his side every day after an accident immobilised him for a few months and he knew that she was the one for him. Faith and love are the centre of Kaitlyn and Dustyn’s relationship. What a beautiful love story that I had the absolute pleasure to film.

Kaitlyn looked beautiful in her V-neck fairy-tale wedding dress. Embroidered bodice with pearls, lace and sequins flowing down onto her full, floor length skirt. Kaitlyn accessorised with long diamond earrings and a pearl bracelet. On her feet she wore sparkling silver heels. A chapel length veil covered her long, curled hair, swept to one side with a diamante hair clip.

Large white florals filled her bouquet tied up with a black, velvet ribbon. She wore a pure white, mid-length fur jacket for the outdoor photoshoot. 8 beautiful bridesmaids wore black, velvet floor length dresses. They kept warm with a classic short white fur jacket. Three lovely flower girls dressed in white, completed this photogenic bridal party.

Dustyn wore a black suit, white dress shirt and black bow tie. His groomsmen wore the same and he had a page boy to complete his party.
